 Engagement Overview:

Arganteal is delivering the ServiceNow workstream for a federal Customer Infrastructure Project operating within a ServiceNow Government Community Cloud (GCC) environment.

The engagement implements an ITSM Phase 1 MVP on the Customer’s existing ServiceNow instance, supporting a firm Base Operational Readiness milestone of July 1, 2026.

Scope includes Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management, CMDB Foundation, IRM baseline with a Tenable spoke, and a bidirectional integration to Salesforce via IntegrationHub  supporting a firm Base Operational Readiness milestone of July 1, 2026..

Role Summary

The ServiceNow Architect leads the technical design and hands-on delivery of the ServiceNow workstream.

This role owns the Low Level Design, CMDB architecture, integration design, and IRM baseline, and remains hands-on through build, validation, and cutover.

Success in this role requires prior experience operating within ServiceNow Government Community Cloud (GCC) or comparable FedRAMP-authorized environments, with the ability to directly translate compliance and security requirements into platform architecture and implementation.

The role reports to the Arganteal engagement lead and coordinates daily with the engagement team and the Customer’s ServiceNow administrators.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Architecture and Design
    • Own Low Level Design across ITSM, CMDB, IRM, and integrations within a ServiceNow Government Community Cloud (GCC) environment
    • Design CMDB foundation including CI class hierarchy, relationship model, discovery and ingestion strategy, data ownership rules, and reconciliation/normalization approach
    • Design IRM baseline aligned to **NIST 800-171 and **CMMC v2, including risk scoring, vulnerability intake, and remediation routing via Tenable
  • Integration Architecture
    • Architect bidirectional ServiceNow–Salesforce integration via IntegrationHub including system-of-record design, transform mapping, conflict resolution, error handling, and retry logic
    • Design integration patterns within FOCI and compliance-driven boundary constraints
  • Platform & Delivery Execution
    • Define multi-environment deployment strategy (Dev, Test, Stage, Prod) including Scoped Application strategy, Update Set governance, and release/change coordination
    • Develop and oversee advanced ServiceNow configuration (IntegrationHub, Script Includes, Business Rules, ACLs, Flow Designer)
    • Review and approve all engineering deliverables prior to production promotion
    • Lead technical execution through cutover and stabilization for July 1 readiness milestone

Required Qualifications 

  • Direct experience delivering ServiceNow in GCC or FedRAMP-authorized environments
  • 5+ years hands-on ServiceNow architecture and development at production scale (ITSM, CMDB, IntegrationHub)
  • Proven experience designing enterprise integrations including system-of-record design, conflict resolution, and retry/error handling architecture
  • Deep CMDB experience including discovery strategy, reconciliation/normalization, and CI relationship modeling
  • Experience operating in regulated environments aligned to NIST 800-171, CMMC v2, and FOCI or similarly restricted architectures
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of ServiceNow scripting, Flow Designer, ACLs, and platform security
  • Active or recent federal compliance onboarding (NSA training or equivalent).
Certifications (strongly preferred)
  • ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) or Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM and at least one of CMDB, IRM, or Integration
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with Salesforce
  • Experience with Tenable and vulnerability response workflows
  • Familiarity with compliance documentation and audit support in regulated environments
  • Prior work within FOCI-mitigated or similarly restricted environments
Engagement Details 
  • Duration: approximately eight weeks at 40 hours per week.
  • Allocation: heavy through Discovery and Low Level Design, then sustained hands-on through build, integration validation, and cutover.
  • Location: Remote, No travel but must be in the United States
  • No Travel
