Contract Duration: 9 Weeks at 40 hours per week

Technical Skills: Active Directory, Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) / Desktop Update Agent (DUA), Windows workstation support, Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Intune, Teams, OneDrive)

Location:  Onsite at nine (9) U.S.-based distribution centers. Airfare & Hotels will be pre-paid for you.  Meals will be reimbursed.

Engagement Overview

We are seeking an experienced Migration Support Engineer to provide onsite execution, validation, and issue-resolution support for a multi-site user and device migration across nine (9) U.S.-based distribution centers. The role is 100% field-based for the duration of the engagement and works in close coordination with a remote migration consultant who runs the centralized cutover activities.
You will be the on-the-ground execution resource: walking the floor of each DC, validating that workstations land cleanly in the target Active Directory and Microsoft 365 tenant, and troubleshooting Quest Desktop Update Agent (DUA) issues during scheduled wave cutovers and HyperCare.

Travel

  • Travel is required to all nine (9) distribution center locations over the course of the engagement.
  • Candidate must be comfortable with frequent travel and onsite presence during scheduled migration windows.
  • Airfare and hotels are pre-paid. Meals are reimbursed per project policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite presence during scheduled wave cutovers, working systematically through the floor and shift areas in coordination with the remote migration consultant.
  • Validate that workstations are successfully migrated and joined to the target Active Directory and Microsoft 365 tenant, with full post-migration functionality (domain membership, GPO/Intune policy, sign-in, mail flow, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
  • Execute pre-wave smoke tests and post-wave verification spot checks; contribute results to wave validation reporting.
  • Troubleshoot ODM and Desktop Update Agent (DUA) issues; remediate stalled or failed agents and escalate to the remote consultant where centralized action is required.
  • Support HyperCare monitoring of mail delivery, sign-in/auth, address policies, permissions, and device compliance for recently migrated users.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact: coordinate with local DC site contacts on access and shift windows, document and escalate issues, and report daily progress to the migration lead.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience supporting end-user computing migrations, workstation refreshes, or domain / tenant transitions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Active Directory and Windows workstation environments.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting user login, profile, and access issues.
  • Working familiarity with Microsoft 365 services from a troubleshooting perspective – Exchange Online, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune-managed devices.
  • Familiarity with Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) and the Desktop Update Agent (DUA), or comparable migration tooling, is strongly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work calmly during live cutovers and HyperCare.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a remote technical team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting multi-site or geographically distributed migrations.
  • Experience working in warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environments and an understanding of shift-driven cutover windows.
  • Exposure to Okta, hybrid Exchange, PKI, or domain rewrite scenarios.
  • Ability to work independently and manage onsite priorities with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

  • Onsite at distribution centers during active migration periods; this role is not remote.
  • Fast-paced, execution-focused environment with real-time user interaction during wave cutovers and HyperCare.
  • Close collaboration with remote technical resources, the migration consultant, and project leadership.
  • Standard hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local site time, Monday through Friday, with flexibility around scheduled cutover windows.
